Authentic Coziness at Bergdorf Priesteregg, Leogang

Oct 05 · in Leogang, Austria · about Hotels

What do you do with a piece of land located at an altitude of 1,100 meters? Most land owners will find that piece of land difficult to manage (and make money from), but two young farmers thought outside of the box and created a hip destination for travelers.

Conceptualized by a couple of young ex-farmers, Bergdorf Priesteregg began in a small restaurant in a wooden chalet where steaming and hearty plates of food were served while it snows outside. It was the perfect go-to restaurant to beat the freezing cold. The restaurant became a success, but owners Renate and Huwi Oberlader saw something lacking. Their international clientèle weren't just looking for good food, they also need a place to stay. That's when Hotel Bergdorf Priesteregg came to be.

Unlike other hotels, Bergdorf Priesteregg is made up of individual wooden chalets that offer more privacy than the common accommodation. Each day, a home-made and organic breakfast is delivered to each chalet. That doesn't end there. After breakfast, you can also request for a massage in your room or opt to sweat it out in your private sauna and steaming hot tub on your terrace or have a hot bath in the open-air baths hidden in the woods where you can enjoy the picturesque mountain views.

Leogang is located in the Saalfelden-Leogang region where skiing and numerous mountain activities are available. Book your trip with TravGroup to enjoy a winter holiday!
